Kolkata 26th November 2022: A Robotic Uro Oncology workshop was conducted at Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Andul road, Howrah, on 26th November 2022, under the Bengal urological society. The conference was the first of its kind in the eastern India as it was for the first time that the fourth generation robotic platform called the da Vinci X was used during this workshop. Multiple surgeries of patients with urological cancers like cancer prostate, bladder, kidney, penis were done by the most cutting edge robotic technology. Dr. Rajesh Ahlawat, Chairman of the Department of Urology at Medanta hospital, Gurgaon and Dr. Tarun Jindal, Consultant Uro Oncology and Robotic Surgery at Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Howrah demonstrated multiple surgeries in that Conference. The urologists all over Kolkata and Eastern part of the country came to attend this Conference. On the second day a unique opportunity was given to the trainee urologists to be inside the Operating theatre to have the first hand experience of how robotic surgeries are performed. Multiple training sessions were also done to teach the young urologists about the intricacies of robotic surgery.
